The Charles Green Endowed Fund for Civic Engagement at Macalester College

Student-organized Co-Curricular Program
Macalester students enjoy—and excel at—taking the initiative to organize co-curricular activities in support of their academic interests. Funds from the Charles Green Endowed Fund will help to support student initiated activities in political science. Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honors society, provides leadership in creating a comprehensive and high quality co-curricular program that may include such elements as a speaker or seminar series, a student- run departmental newsletter, a student-run political journal, periodic alumni forums and an annual academic essay contest.

Professor Green is ending his teaching career in 2005. He will serve as a consultant during 2005–06, helping the Political Science Department implement the Civic Engagement Fellowship supported by the endowed fund.
