Helen Warren My daily work enables Macalester College to compete successfully for grants awarded by foundations, corporations and government. To this end, I research funding opportunities, converse with officials of funding organizations, coordinate the efforts of faculty and staff as they develop proposals and assure that Macalester's relationships with funders are healthy and mutually beneficial. I compose and edit narrative proposals and prepare budgets to accompany requests, insuring that all elements of a request are accurate and persuasive. I also oversee the preparation and submission of reports to funders about projects underway or recently concluded. I can answer questions about Macalester projects supported through external funds, provide information on pending proposals, supply the current one page profile of the college, acquaint you with research and teaching interests of faculty, and answer questions about the relationship of grant-funding to other forms of support from donors.
