My work in Special Events varies wide and greatly and each day brings something new. I work with Alumni Relations organizing and producing events in the Twin Cities as well as in several chapter areas. We’ve done a few events to bring Mac dog lovers together and I’d like to do more of them. I also work with Alumni Relations to play a behind-the-scenes role with the Macalester Reunion each year working with logistics, rentals and student workers. I chair the Faculty/Staff Entertainment Committee and as well as work with other departments on campus on a variety of events. My personal bit of Mac trivia is that my parents met on a blind date while attending Macalester in the 40’s.
About Me
I am owned by three cats and several Collies who were rescued through Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue. Several of my former shelter dogs now keep busy by visiting patients and residents of hospitals and nursing homes as certified social therapy dogs. In addition to her work as a therapy dog, one of my Collies has shown her expertise as a stock dog and has been earning titles at sheep dog trials. I typically find myself with an extra dog as I also volunteer as a foster home for Collie Rescue.
