"Workshop on Edible Forest Garden at Macalester's EcoHouse"

An edible forest garden is coming to Macalester's EcoHouse this spring! Come learn about this unique gardening/landscaping project at a workshop on April 19 from 11:00 to 1:00 in Campus Center 207. The garden will be prepared and planted during a series of workdays in late April and early May, and we want lots of people to be involved! It is a great opportunity to be involved in permaculture, sustainable landscaping, and community green space. This workshop will provide background in basic permaculture theory, forest garden design principles, methods for successfully planting the perennials we will be working with, and more information on ways you can help with soil preparation and planting later in the spring.
