The department welcomed the editorial staff of the Journal of Economic Perspectives to Macalester. The Journal of Economic Perspectives (JEP) is one of the flagship journals of the American Economic Association. The JEP attempts to fill a gap between the general interest press and most other academic economics journals. The journal offers readers an accessible source for state-of-the-art economic thinking. Tim Taylor, editor of the JEP, moved his office to Macalester from the University of Minnesota. We are very excited to welcome Tim and his assistantCarmen Largaespada!

Professor Karine Moe was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure.
