Venturing Out as an Entrepreneur?

In 1982, Macalester College launched a program in entrepreneurial studies. The program assists students in thinking as entrepreneurs and provides guidance on how to carry an idea from conception to completion.

Once a year we offer a course entitled Entrepreneurship: New Ventures (ECON 458). Its focus is on new business start-ups. Often we offer a topics course in entrepreneurship. Among the topics offered in the past were Entrepreneurship and Non-Profit Organizations (strategies, including grant proposals), The Entrepreneur (history and personalities of the people behind the ventures), and Failure (study of failed businesses).
