Paul J. Aslanian

Former faculty member and College Treasurer. Returns to Macalester from Swarthmore College. B.A. and M.B.A. University of Washington.

Amy Damon

Assistant Professor (2008) received her PhD in Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota summer of 2008. Her research interests include investigating the impacts of international migration from Central America to the United States and the impact that this migration process has on families living in Central America.

Gary J. Krueger, Department Chair

Interests: Comparative economic systems, transition to market in Eastern Europe, industrial organization and applied econometrics.

Joyce Minor

Visiting Distinguished Professor (2008) Joyce graduated from Macalester in 1988 and worked at Piper Jaffray until 1990 and earned her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1993. She has worked at several other companies including her last experience at Lehman Brothers in New York as a Senior Vice President, Equity Research.

Jane Kollasch

Department Coordinator (1999).

Jane has been the Department Coordinator since Fall of 1999. She has been at Macalester College for fourteen years having previously worked in the Purchasing Department and also Telecomm. She enjoys working with the econ students on a daily basis and the challenges of the academic side of the college. Jane is also very involved on campus, serving on the board of the Wellness, Health at Macalester (WHAM). She also works for the Athletic Dept. keeping score for the Macalester Men's & Women's Basketball teams. When not at Macalester, Jane enjoys gardening, quilting, biking, and golfing.
