Karl A. Egge

F.R. Bigelow Professor of Economics (1970); B.A., University of Montana, 1965; M.A., Ohio State University, 1967; Ph.D., Ohio State University, 1973. Interests: new ventures and start-ups by entrepreneurs; the economics of litegation.

Brad England

Visting Professor of Finance (2006); finished his first two years at Macalester College and completed his B.A. University of Minnesota, 1977; M.B.A. Finance and Accounting, Northwestern Universtiy, Kellogg School. After his MBA he worked for General Mills, Inc, as the Director of Administration, Manager of Corporate Finance and Financial Analyst. He then moved onto Merrill Lynch working out of ML?s Chicago, London and Palo Alto offices. Since 2002 he has worked for Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis as Head of Investment Banking, and Capital Markets.

Sarah E. West

Jane Kollasch

Department Coordinator (1999).

Jane has been the Department Coordinator since Fall of 1999. She has been at Macalester College for twelve years having previously worked in the Purchasing Department and also Telecomm. She enjoys working with the econ students on a daily basis and the challenges of the academic side of the college. Jane is also very involved on campus, serving on the board of the Wellness, Health at Macalester (WHAM). She also works for the Athletic Dept. keeping score for the Macalester Men's & Women's Basketball teams. When not at Macalester, Jane enjoys gardening, quilting, biking, and golfing.
