- Adam Kent `08 (Madison, Wi) worked with Professor Karine Moe who, with support of a Keck grant studied the effect of school finance reform on residential sorting and student achievement.
- Xi Luo `09 (Wuhan, China) worked with Professor Raymond Robertson to develop a theoretic modelof the effects of tariff changes on displacement and wages and applied the model to Mexico.
- Jayant Gokhale `09 (Pune, India) worked with Professor Liang Ding researching of the efficiency of foreign exchange market.
- Giang Ho '04 (Hanoi, Vietnam) held an internship with the Journal of Economic Perspectives as a Research Assistant.
- Veselin Atanasov '05 (Bulgaria), Erika Molina '05 (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
and Gaurav Ahluwalia '04 (New Delhi, India) held internships with Tim
Taylor, managing editor of the Journal of Economic Perspectives, developing
an economics textbook.
- Ruchira Jha '03 (New Delhi, India) held an internship with the Journal
of Economic Perspectives.
- Veselin Atanasov '05 (Bulgaria) is conducting research funded by the
Keck Foundation under Professor Vasant Sukhatme. His research is on
the topic of growth prospects of Central and Eastern European economies
in transition.
- Sher Ali Tareen '05 (Pakistan) won a Lilly Summer Research Award in
2003. His research was conducted with Professor Vasant Sukhatme and
was entitled "The Status of Women and Demographic Behavior in South
Asia: India and Pakistan."
- Gaurav Ahluwalia '04 (New Delhi, India), working with Professor Raymond
Robertson, won a Lilly Summer Research Award in 2002. His paper was
entitled "The Changing Nature of Work: Examining the Effects of
the Assembly Industry from Mexico to Macalester."
