3.1 Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity
This is to affirm Macalester College's policy of providing Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action to all staff employees and applicants for Employment.

The Staff Affirmative Action Officer’s responsibilities will include monitoring andimplementing all Equal Employment Opportunity activities and reporting the effectiveness of the voluntary affirmative action program. The President of Macalester College will receive and review reports on the progress of the program. Any staff employee or applicant for staff employment who believe he or she has been discriminated against should promptly contact the Staff Affirmative Action Officer at 651-696-6284. The College will not retaliate or discriminate against anyapplicant or employee because he or she has filed a complaint of employment discrimination or testified, assisted or participated in any manner in an investigation, proceeding or hearing related to such complaints. Reports of potential discrimination will be kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need for a thorough investigation.
