11.14 Social Security
Social Security benefits are paid for death, total disability, and retirement, provided the person has been covered by Social Security for a period of time sufficient for eligibility. These benefits are paid regardless of the insurance coverage held by the individual. Claims for benefits should be filed with the local Social Security Office.
