3.9 Job Description
Employees will be given a job description by their supervisor when they begin their employment. This may be a brief description in the form of a job posting, a complete job description or a Job Analysis Questionnaire (a detailed analysis of the position completed by a person formerly holding the position). Supervisors may also provide other descriptive material.
In addition to assisting the new employee in their orientation, the job description will also provide the outline for future performance evaluations.
Job descriptions are updated during the annual performance evaluation. Updated job descriptions should be sent along with the performance evaluation to the Employment Services Department for the employee's personnel file.
