David Mura just published the novel, Famous Suicides of the Japanese Empire, and has written two memoirs, Turning Japanese and Where the Body Meets Memory: Race, Sexuality & Identity. He has published three books of poetry and a book of essays on contemporary poetry; he has also written several plays and performance pieces. He has taught at the University of Minnesota, the University of Oregon, St. Olaf College, Hamline University, and the Stonecoast MFA program.
