- Living Green Expo: Saturday, May 1- Sunday May 2, 2004, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Minnesota State Fair Grounds FREE admission
- This event is a great way to get in touch with environmental groups in the Twin Cities, and it's just a quick bike or bus ride down Snelling to the Fair Grounds, take some time this weekend to check it out! Over 200 exhibitors, 80 workshops, speakers, music, an art exhibit, technology demonstrations, kids' activities and workshops will all highlight products, practices, resources and technologies to reduce the environmental impact of our day to day living. Check out http://www.livinggreenexpo.org for a complete listing of exhibitors, activities and entertainment. Also consider volunteering at the event. - May Day Parade & Celebration- Sunday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. Bloomington Ave South to Powderhorn Park, Minneapolis
- This event, sponsored by In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre, is the best community event in the Twin Cities, hands down. Imagine thousands of people, beautiful colorful puppets and masks, a huge parade of diverse, celebrating people, and an incredible ceremony that involves Powderhorn Lake, a huge tree and turtle puppets, it'll be great! - Macalester All-Activist Forum, Wednesday, April 28, 6:00-7:30pm, Old Main Room 09
- Join our fellow Mac Activists to hear about student campaigns of this semester, plans for next year, and discussion and collaboration in working for social or political change.
- Need Blind Admissions Forum, Wednesday April 28th at 4:30 pm
- The Resource Planning Committee (RPC) at Macalester College recently recommended to the school administration a move to partial elimination of need-blind admissions, making the decision of admitting 10% of students on a need-sensitive basis. The group intends to learn about and investigate the issue in detail and take affirmative action on it if necessary. Come here where students are at in this effort and learn more about the issue.
- Flaming Film Festival, Tuesday, April 27 at 7 pm- John B. Davis Lecture Hall
- There will be selections of movies shown from this years Flaming Film Fest at Intermedia Arts, an alternative queer film and video festival. The Festival director, assistant director, and some local filmmakers will be there to answer questions and share their experiences. Please come, even if you can only stay for a little.
