To apply for financial aid as an Early Decision I
candidate, complete the steps below.

- Visit profileonline.collegeboard.com
to complete the College Scholarship Service Financial Aid
PROFILE. Include Macalester's code (6390) in the school release
section..
- If your
biological/adoptive parents are separated or
divorced, your noncustodial
parent must complete the CSS Noncustodial
PROFILE.
If applicable, you will receive details about the Noncustodial PROFILE
service as part of the PROFILE process. College Scholarship
Service will send you an e-mail message which contains information
about the Noncustodial PROFILE service and a temporary password for
your noncustodial parent. You should forward this e-mail message to your
noncustodial parent upon receipt.
- File the FAFSA and include Macalester’s code (002358)
in the school section.
- Paper FAFSAs are available in high school guidance
offices, at public libraries, and in college/university financial aid
offices.
- You may file the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- If you have already filed a FAFSA
but did not list Macalester in the school section, click here for instructions.
- Mail
or fax a signed copy of
your parents’ federal tax return
(with all schedules and W2 forms) directly to Macalester. Write
your
name and Social Security number at the top.
- If you
also file a federal tax
return, send a signed copy
and all W2 form(s) to Macalester. If you will not file a 2007 tax
return, complete a Non-Filer
Statement.
- Please do not send state tax returns.
