The Admissions and Financial Aid Offices are located at 62 Macalester Street.
To apply for financial aid as a returning Macalester student, complete the steps below. Be sure to file by May 15, 2012 to ensure timely delivery of results.
The Department of Education has made some adjustments to the way that they request and collect tax information from aid applicants for the 2012-2013 academic year and going forward. Pay special attention to the steps below to apply for financial aid for next year.
- All applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
NEW FOR 12-13: Beginning February 1, 2012, families should use the IRS Data Retrieval tool to securely transfer tax information into the FAFSA from the IRS after you have filed your taxes. Doing so, may reduce the forms that you need to send to the financial aid office. Data Retrieval is typically available about 10 days after you file your taxes (provided you have filed electronically).
- Some applicants will be required to complete additional steps. To direct you, you must first know if your FAFSA was selected by the Department of Education for Federal Verification.
