Martine
Sauret received her Ph.D., with Honors, in June 1991 at the University
of Minnesota. She was an Associate Professor of French at Western
Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan for 12 years. She has been
currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Macalester College for
the last 3 years.
She published three books "Gargantua et les délits du
corps.'' (New York: Peter Lang, 1977).
Her translation into French of The Graphic Unconscious
in Early Modern French writing by Tom Conley is published by Presses
Universitaires de Vincennes (2000).

sur les écrivains français des XVe et XVIE siècles.
New York: Mellen Press, 2004.
Her research interests include the French and Italian Renaissance,
the Baroque and Manierism, early cartographers, French Normand explorers
(1523, 1529, 1663) and contemporary Art and Cinema. At Macalester,
she teaches language classes at all levels, surveys of Literature
and Civilization and Advanced Literature classes of Early Modern
France.
