The investigation of nature-society relationships lies at the heart of geography and has been one of the pillars of the discipline since the late 19 th century. This realm of inquiry also has been an important bridge between geography and other fields. This course introduces you to the study of human-environment interactions from a geographic perspective, with a special emphasis on the role of humans in changing the face of the earth and how, in turn, this changed environment may influence humans.
