Five full-time faculty members and one staff member, along with several vistors each semester, teach approximately 28 courses per year (not including independent projects and internships) and also serve as academic advisors. The department of geography courses convey knowledge of the ways human activity in space is organized and the interactions of human activities with the physical environment. Through classroom and laboratory experience, field work, research projects, and community involvment, students are provided with the knowledge and skills required to carry out locational analysis, appreciate the diversity of people and places, the integration of places on the surface of the earth and the spatial processes that affect contemporary society.
