GIS Lab Hours & Information
The GIS teaching lab is located in Carnegie 108. It is a lab dedicated to teaching GIS courses within the Geography Department. It is outfitted with 20 brand-new (Summer 2008) MPC machines and flat-panel Dell monitors. There is also a color-laser printer, SmartBoard and projector installed in the lab as well as a 9' x 15' wall map.
A second, smaller GIS lab, called the Advanced GIS Community Outreach Lab, houses 6 new computers (Spring 2008) as well as a 42" large-format printer. These computers are used by Geography majors working on Honors projects or Independent projects with a Geography faculty member.
The GIS Lab fall 2008 schedule can be found here.
Students who are interested in working on independent projects and are not Geography majors may use computers in the library that have the software. They are located in the Imaging Annex on the lower level. For more information about the Campus Site License, click here.
