Dear Minnesota Educators,

You are cordially invited to participate in a day of Insight, Excitement, and Utility in Geographic Education on October 25, 2008.

The Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education is sponsoring the Third Annual GEOFEST Minnesota Conference in order to bring together social science educators who share a special passion for Geography.

Numerous concurrent sessions will be held throughout the day -- if technology is your thing we've got it -- "Beyond Zooming: Google My Map and Blogging", "Interactive White Boards and Geographic Thinking" or "GPS Technology for the Classroom". Explore the Arctic with Go North! or maybe you fancy Europe, Mongolia, Morocco or Canada -- we've got something for everyone. In addition, there will be a special strand of hands on presentations for elementary teachers.

We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a day of geographic enrichment.

Sincerely,

Sara Damon, GEOFEST MN Coordinator
and
David A. Lanegran, Coordinator
Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education
