URBAN GEOGRAPHY:
CONCEPTS & SKILLS

WHAT
: The Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education will offer a two-week summer institute for teachers [Grades 4-12] interested in implementing the newly established state graduation requirements and helping to create web-based curriculum on the portion of the new standards that focus on the geography of cities in Minnesota and the rest of the world in combination with the essential skills of geography.

The two-week summer work period will consist of lectures, tutorials and field research in the Twin Cities and Northern Minnesota in late June and early July of 2005.
