TEACHING ABOUT THE GEOGRAPHY
OF EAST ASIA

This FREE three-day institute will enable teachers to update their treatment of the geography of East Asia and the western Pacific Rim and their connections to the United States . All our students must become better informed about this region and how its surging economy will affect us in the years to come. MAGE members who have participated in special study programs in the region will present sessions devoted to new content and ideas for curriculum development. We will focus on China , Japan , Korea , the Philippines , Vietnam , Singapore , and Australia and New Zealand. Teachers who participate in all three days will receive 24 CEUs.

NOTE: A $25 refundable application fee is required at the time of application. Applicants selected to participate will have their check returned to them on the first day of the institute. Applicants not selected to participate will have their check returned no later than June 1st. Applicants who are selected to participate and cancel their participation after June 1st will not receive a refund.
