Basic Skills for Teaching Geography Workshop

November 4, 2006
This FREE, one-day workshop, is offered annually for pre-service teachers, non-tenured teachers and teachers new to geography instruction. The workshop is structured around three sessions, comprised of eighteen concurrent sessions, led by six outstanding K-12 master teachers. Sessions involve teaching the five fundamental geography themes, mapping, geography & the internet, interdisciplinary lessons, literacy, diverse populations, Minnesota’s Social Studies Standards, and much, much more.
