Lanegran is the Macalester College Geography Department Chair and Coordinator of the Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education (MAGE). He has served as a director and/or faculty in approximately forty-eight summer institutes since 1985. |

Watson is an expert on reading instruction and ways to reach out to minority students in urban settings. He has published several articles on reading and curriculum integration. |
Laura Smith, Assistant Professor
smithl@macalester.edu
Smith teaches courses at Macalester College in urban economic geography, North America and quantitative methods. She also teaches an urban GIS seminar that connects the class with a community project. Her recent research projects have focused on urban development and transportation and on issues of American Indian law and land use.
