MASTER TEACHERS Paula Verstegen ( Lake Elmo Elementary School ) Paula is a thirty-year plus veteran teacher who has made numerous geography education presentations around the state and currently serves as the National Geographic Society’s Materials Demonstrator for Minnesota . Paula was also a 2003 finalist for “Teacher of the Year” in Minnesota . |
Maureen Trepp (Minneapolis Public Schools - retired) Maureen is a , thirty-year veteran teacher and a member of the MAGE Steering Committee. Maureen heads up a team of master teachers who annually make presentations in Minnesota College social studies methods classes. In addition, she is the past Coordinator of the MN State Geographers’ Fair, held annually at the Science Museum of Minnesota. |
