Cuyuna Range Outlook

The Cuyuna Range will see some housing development. Abandoned pit mines have filled over the years and wildlife and flora have returned to the area. There are now miles of new undeveloped shoreline within driving distance of other Brainerd Lakes amenities. Some development is already encouraging, but does not appear to be on a large development or resort scale.

Limited commercial growth will emerge to support the resort/cabin industry. The Cuyuna range should take advantage of the Cuyuna Lakes Trail (under construction) to showcase their towns and attract trail users. Old rail stations could also be used similiarly.

Remnants of the mining era should continue to be marketed to tourists interested in a lost industrial past.
