Macalester’s German Studies curriculum includes courses that focus on acquiring proficiency in German (The Language Sequence); advanced courses taught in German on German culture, literature, and history from the 18^th century to the present (Literature and Culture); and courses taught in English suitable for students from across the curriculum as well as German majors and minors (Courses in English: Cinema and Critical Theory).
