Assistant Professor in German Studies

Position to begin September 2003. Preferred areas of specialization: 18th- or 19th-century German literary and cultural studies. Strong evidence of theoretically informed research and scholarly potential, also ability to teach in cognate areas such as intellectual history, comparative literature, women's and gender studies, Jewish studies, and other interdisciplinary programs. Strong commitment to language instruction and willingness to participate in department's semester study abroad program. Native or near native German language skills, Ph.D., and teaching experience required.
