HMCS Fall Semester Kick-off

Hennepin Theatre Trust will premiere the Minnesota produced and filmed, “nobody” at the State Theatre in Minneapolis on Thursday, October 1. Director and co-writer, Rob Perez visited Macalester on Friday, September 25 and screened several scenes from the movie and discuss the production of the film.

An ensemble comedy shot exclusively in the twin cities, “nobody” is about a sculptor at MCAD looking for inspiration. The executive producer of the film is Minnesota native, Josh Hartnett.

Rob has been a member of the Writers Guild of America since 1999. He wrote ‘40 Days & 40 Nights’ which stars Josh Hartnett and was released in 2001. He has written scripts for Universal, Miramax, Warner Bros, Working Title Films, and other major studios. He also spent a year working exclusively with director Ridley Scott. “nobody” marks Rob’s directorial debut.

Rob is originally from Houston, Texas. He graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont where he majored in Theater – Film & Video. He also attended NYU’s Dramatic Writing Program and USC’s Filmic Writing Program. He now lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
