The kickboxing class is a 6-session series of workouts designed to familiarize participants with the basic techniques of the particular exercise while creating a higher degree of body awareness.
Full-body 50-minute massages are offered to students at a nominal price. The massage bodywork performed by licensed massage therapists is designed to counteract the multiple stressors facing students.
The meditation course is a 7-session series that focuses on strengthening the mind for higher learning and academic success. This course allows students to explore and evolve the mind, body, and spirit through meditation, discussion, seeking inner truth and personal experiences.
Macalester College offers several different types of lyengar yoga classes for students, faculty, and staff. The classes are designed to create a union of mind and body. Each yoga series has 6 sessions. The series are scheduled at different times and on various days to meet the different needs of the campus community.
