Currently registered students may use medical services at Winton
as needed during their academic career at Macalester. There is no
charge to see a nurse, nurse practitioner or doctor at Health Services.
In addition to office visits for diagnosis, treatment or care, we also
draw blood and collect other specimens for most laboratory tests which
are sent out to a laboratory on a daily basis. Over-the-counter and
prescription medications are available at Health Services, and there
is a pharmacy located
across the street from campus as well as
multiple national drugstore chains in the area. Please note that
there are charges for prescription medications and laboratory tests.
Students are encouraged to call ahead (651.696.6275) for appointments
or to discuss their health concerns with one of the staff.
