Ongoing Physical Activity Classes

Open to students only. Register for free physical activity classes that focus on the mind and body connection.  The six-week classes begin during the week of November 3, 2014 and end during the week of December 8, 2014.

Registration opens on October 27, 2014.  Email to register. Space is limited. You will receive a confirming email with class location if you are enrolled in the class. 

Hip Hop
Hip Hop dance is a form of expression that began in the 1970s as street dance and has been revolutionized throughout the decades. In this crazy fun dance class, we'll be getting down to the crunkest hip hop dance beats of this generation. We'll primarily be learning a dance routine along with some hip hop street dance techniques. This class is open to all levels. Just bring your fierce attitude and swag.

Yoga Sculpt
Yoga Sculpt is a high-energy workout that adds free weights to a power yoga sequence to sculpt the entire body. This mind-body class tones and strengthens every muscle through yoga and body-weight movements. Set to the beat of dynamic music, this all-levels workout is taught by a Corepower Yoga Sculpt certified teacher and will leave you coming back for more!

Wednesdays, 7:00 - 8:00 pm

Zumba 
This fun and high-energy dance class will be taught by two enthusiastic girls who love to dance! We will be incorporating styles from around the world, such as Latin, hip hop, belly dancing, Bollywood, Persian, and maybe even some throwbacks to the 1970s and 1980s. We are so excited to be teaching the class, and we want everyone to have fun and feel comfortable. All levels are welcome. Don't feel intimidated - come out and dance with us.

Sundays, 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm (starts November 9)

There are also several classes that are offered during the noon hour through WHAM programs. These six-week classes have a $20 student registration fee. Registration begins October 27 at Health and Wellness Center for these classes or pay online.
