Professor of History and Communications Studies -retired
Professor Fisher taught courses on The Electronic Media
in the Modern Age, and The Media and Popular Culture in
Postwar
Japan. He has presented papers in Singapore, Hong Kong and
Japan, focusing on satellite broadcasting and digital compression
and their impact on the U.S. and Asia.
