Macalester supports several scholarships and awards which recognize the civic engagement efforts of students.

Several of the endowed awards are given by alums who have given back to the college in order to encourage students in their community involvement work.

Projects for Peace

Davis Projects for Peace is an initiative for all students at the Davis United World College Scholars Program partner schools to design their own grassroots projects for peace that they themselves will implement anywhere in the world. Through a nationwide competition, projects are selected for funding at $10,000 each.

Global Citizenship Student Award

This honor is presented annually to the graduating senior who best demonstrates a commitment to the ideals and practice of high academic performance, internationalism, multiculturalism, and civic engagement.
