Northwest Institute For Social Change Awards Fellowships
Emily Joan Smith '09 and Mark Saldana '11 have won summer fellowships at the Northwest Institute for Social Change in Portland, Oregon. Both will spend eight weeks at the Institute. Students attend media study classes, work with professionals to produce media projects and attend professional development workshops with the long-term goal of "helping to build a strong democratic community that is representative of all voices," according to the Institute web site.
