6/26/02, CARS Downtime
The CARS system will be down for maintenance on Friday, June 28, beginning at 1:30pm. It will be back up on Saturday. If you have questions, please contact Ramón Rentas at extension 6633.

6/24/02, Mail Server Maintenance Today at 5:00 PM
Today at 5:00 PM the mail server will be rebooted. The server should be unavailable for less than 10 minutes. During this time, e-mail will not be available.

6/14/2002, What Are Those Odd E-Mails?
The Klez virus continues to spawn mysterious e-mail messages. We have identified only one or two computers on campus that are infected with the virus. However, an infected computer, usually off-campus, picks a random to and from address, so it looks like random people are sending out the bug. 6/14/2002, Mailing labels
CIT does not produce employee or student mailing labels. If you need labels, please contact Human Resources (for staff or faculty labels) or the Registrar's Office (for student labels). They will provide you a data file that you will then merge into a label document in Word. Documentation is available on the CIT Web page, or you can go directly to www.macalester.edu/cit/docs/xplatform/word/index.html to find a document on how to merge in Word.
