Erica Ledesma joined Macalester College's International Center in March of 2010.  Her primary area of interest is in preparing students to actively participate in today's global society.  Erica holds a Masters degree from the University of Minnesota in Comparative and International Development Education.  She has traveled to Cuba, Israel, Jordan, Guatemala, and Argentina as an International Education Student.  Previous to her role at Macalester, Erica held positions in higher education administration, in the international non-profit sector, and as a bilingual educator. Erica is fluent is Spanish and is currently learning Portuguese.

In her role as Administrative Coordinator, Erica provides planning and project management in support of the annual off-campus deadline, manages the IC information systems, and serves as a liaison with other campus departments, especially as it related to changes in off-campus study plans.  Erica coordinates the completion of the IC annual report as well as other off-campus statistical summaries.  As needed, Erica provides initial student advising, with special focus on programs in Lusophone countries and programs for Educational Studies students.  Additionally, Erica manages the operational budget and assists with returnee forums.
