Kelsey Schultz joined the International Center at Macalester College in September 2013.  As an Education Abroad Advisor, she collaborates with a team of advisors to support students in seeking out and making the most of the variety of study away opportunities vital to the Mac experience. Beyond her primary role as an advisor, Kelsey supports program assessment initiatives and collaboration within the greater Institute for Global Citizenship.

Kelsey comes to Macalester with a passion for exploring the world, in constant pursuit of being surprised by people, places and ideas.  Her first study abroad experience in France and Spain was followed up by a semester in Chile, extensive travel throughout Central and South America, Thailand, Cambodia, and much of the United States.  She has worked as an international and intercultural educator since 2009, with experience in assessment, program development, global service-learning, student leadership, advising for and leading study abroad programming, and guiding students in finding meaning in their life and work.  She holds a BA in International Relations and Spanish from St. Cloud State University and an MA in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota.
