Study Abroad Program
Welcome back to the U.S. and Macalester! We hope you had a wonderful experience
studying and living abroad. How is it to be back? Are you finding
that coming home is more difficult than you anticipated? Many students
find that while it's great catching up with friends and family they
are still feeling a little "out of it." You're probably
finding that classes and daily life at Mac are not as exciting as
your time in London, Florence, or Quito. These feelings are quite
normal. Re-entering your culture can be just as difficult and sometimes
more difficult than adjusting to your host culture when you went
abroad.
Even if you
aren't experiencing any difficulties with re-entry you may still
be trying to figure out how you can incorporate everything you learned
abroad into your life here.
