Professor Moore with recent I.S. alumni and Watson fellows Sneh Rao and Chloe Poynton David Moore's primary interests are in literary interactions in the Black Atlantic world, notably Africa, the Caribbean, and African America. Significant interests also include the post-colonial and/as the post-Soviet, comparative literature, cultural theory, and globalization.

He has published widely in places such as Diaspora, Research in African Literatures, Genre, the Journal of Anthropological Research, the Slavic and East European Journal, Resources for American Literary Study, Transition, the Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, and Accounting, Organizations and Society. Forthcoming book projects include Black Athena Writes Back and Debating Black Athena, co-edited with Martin Bernal; A Negro Looks at Soviet Central Asia, by Langston Hughes, originally published in Moscow in 1934 and now re-edited and expanded by David Moore; and a monograph, Terralingua, on world literature.
