Departmental Internship Requirements

Many majors require or encourage an internship as a part of their requirements. These internship course descriptions are taken from the 2009-2011 course catalog.  All internship courses listed in the college catalog must be registered for academic credit through the internship office.  

Sociology

Internships allow students to participate in an off-campus learning experience. Students may engage in internships in a variety of settings that match their academic goals, including nonprofit organizations, government, and business. Permission of a faculty sponsor and an on-site supervisor are required. Every semester. (4 credits)
