The HEDS (Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium) Alumni Survey was administered via the web in the spring of 2010 to Macalester graduates from the classes of 2004 and 2005. The survey asks graduates about activities since graduation and their evaluation of their undergraduate education. The Alumni Survey is administered every five years at Macalester, allowing for comparisons over time. Last spring’s response rate for the 2004 and 2005 graduates was 36%, which is a decrease from the response rate of 44% five years earlier. Generally the Alumni Surveys have been representative of their classes overall, although usually somewhat over-represented by females.
