Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)

SEP is an antivirus, antispyware and firewall utility for Windows and Mac OS. Linux uses Symantec AntiVirus. Antivirus software removes viruses and prevents them from infecting computers. Working and updated antivirus software is critical for Macalester computers.

Installation Instructions

• Don't install more than one kind of antivirus software or firewall. Doing so will cause the software to be unreliable at protecting your computer.
• For best results, uninstall existing antivirus software before installing the Macalester-licensed versions of Symantec.
• Don't change any of the default settings during the installation or the software may not work properly.
