Institutional Purchases

ITS supports computer and software purchasing using college funds to buy items that will be owned by Macalester. Learn more about institutional purchases

INSTITUTIONAL FUNDING SOURCES INCLUDE:

• the Computer Replacement Fund
• faculty startup funds
• departmental and college TEM (Technology Equipment and Maintenance) budgets
• endowed professorship funds
• grants
• Faculty Travel and Research (FTR) funds

For any institutional purchase, ITS staff will consult with you, discuss your needs and appropriate equipment, generate college purchase requisitions for you, take delivery and bring the items to you.

For assistance with computer or software purchasing, contact the ITS Help Desk at helpdesk@macalester.edu. Faculty may also consult with their Academic Information Associate (AIA).

ITS does not purchase items other than computers, computer peripherals (displays, docking stations, external hard drives, scanners, keyboards and mice, etc.) and software. If you are considering buying non-computer devices, contact Macalester's Procurement Office.
