Getting Connected to the Student Network

Students must register any device before connecting to the Macalester network. Registration helps protect the network by ensuring that every device is updated and has antivirus and anti-spyware software installed.

Network registration will associate each device with its owner. This information is confidential and allows ITS to quickly contact a user whose device is causing network problems. To register a device, start up a web browser while connected to the Macalester network. When the login page appears, enter your Macalester username and password and follow the prompts.
