Departmental Labs
Many of Macalester's academic departments maintain their own
computer facilities. These facilities may range from one or
two machines up through multiple-workstation lab/classrooms.
Each facility typically contains discipline-specific software
and hardware, geared toward the unique needs and scholarly
focus of the host department.
Departmental computer
labs are administered solely by the respective academic departments,
not by ITS. For this reason, each departmental lab is likely
to have its own specific policies concerning access, staffing
and supervision. For more information on departmental computer
labs, please consult the sponsoring department.
