Are you a Graduating Senior who identifies as Queer, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender? If so, The Dean of Students Office and Alumni Programs want to celebrate your contributions to the college community. Lavender Graduation is a cultural celebration that recognizes QLGBT students of all races and ethnicities and acknowledges their achievements and contributions to the college. As you prepare to leave the college, we want to celebrate your past and encourage your future as you enter into the next phase of your Macalester life - as an alumna or alumnus of the college.
Lavender Graduation began in 1995 at the University of Michigan and has grown rapidly over the past decade to include celebrations on college campuses all over the country. Please help us continue the celebration by being part of the 4th annual Lavender Graduation at Macalester.
Every spring, the Dean of Students and Alumni Programs offices invite students to sign up to participate in this event. If you have questions, please contact Jim Hoppe.
Show up to be honored, claim your Rainbow Tassel, celebrate with your friends and accept the well wishes of members of the Macalester community who have benefited from your presence on campus!
