Regular library lab hours for the academic year are Monday through
Thursday 8am-12midnight, Friday 8am-10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm,
and Sunday from 10am-12midnight. Hours vary during exam periods,
breaks, holidays and summer. [more]
While the lab is open to the public, the primary purpose of
the library computer lab is to meet the general computing needs
of current Macalester College faculty, staff and students. [more]
The library lab provides PC and Mac desktop computers, laptop
computers and scanning equipment. It provides access to a wide
variety of software including word processing, web page development
and graphics software. [more]
The lab's student consultant are trained to provide technical
assistance to lab users. They can offer help with basic software
issues and can offer helpful suggestions for resolving basic
hardware issues when working on computers and other equipment
