To borrow a digital camera from the library lab you must have your current valid Macalester ID and complete an Equipment Borrowers Agreement. This agreement is given to you to fill out when you show up to check out equipment.

If you have any outstanding library fines or charges which prevent you from checking out other library materials, you will also not be allowed to check out a camera.

The library lab currently has one digital camera available for checkout: a Canon PowerShot A620 (7.1 MegaPixel digital camera w/ 512 mb SD memory card).

Digital cameras and other equipment should always be returned to a lab consultant or library staff member and should not just be left on the counter when returned. There will be a $5 late charge for each 1 hour period or portion thereof that the camera is returned beyond the due date/time. If there is missing or damaged equipment, there is a replacement charge of up to $200 plus a processing fee of up to $25 for damage to or loss of the cameras or peripheral equipment.
